Masalama Oman!
On P's last day in Oman, we headed for Yitti Beach, now less than 40 minutes away on the new good roads from Muscat. Yitti is a small fishing town on the coast south of Muscat and nearby is another lovely village set in a valley of date palms. Yitti had been our first outing when we arrived in Oman 3 years ago so it was fitting P said his "Masalama, shukran!" (Good-bye, thank you) to Oman there. The weather was perfect for a winter's day, 30 Celsius, light breeze, blue skies as always. We wonder how Yitti would look like when we see it next. The Jumeirah group responsible for the famous 7 star Burj Al-Arab, where Tiger Woods had hit golf balls from its roof, and the palm tree shaped resort in Dubai, is building a hotel. Masalama Oman! We will meet again, insha'allah...
